Parish School of Religion Details
- Our Parish School of Religion, also know as PSR, provides religious education classes to children and youth in first through tenth grade who do not attend a Catholic School. Since the Diocese of Baton Rouge requires two years of religious education before preparing for First Eucharist and ten years of religious education before preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation, our program allows your child to be eligible to celebrate those Sacraments.
- Here at St. Patrick, we have a two week summer intensive PSR program. The dates for this summer are June 2 - June 13 from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm. The cost is $50 per student.
- You may have heard that the Confirmation age is changing in our Diocese to 7th grade. This is a very exciting time as we begin to transition to this younger age for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Learn more at https://diobr.org/confirmation-guidelines.
- Throughout the year we have Youth Ministry opportunities available as well as Sacramental Preparation.
- Registration opens February 10, 2025.
- Volunteers are needed in various areas: catechists, co-catechists and small group leaders.
